Iwas an actor and writer in theatre, films and television for many years before re-training as a counsellor. I have a Masters Degree in Addiction Psychology and am a member of BACP and work within their codes of practice and ethics.
“I have worked with individuals, groups, families and couples”I was a staff counsellor at the Promis residential Counselling Centre in Kent and at their London Halfway House and Daycare centres for two years, then spent four years at the London SHARP Day Care centre for substance misuse as a staff member, facilitating group therapy, individual counselling, creative writing and art workshops, and mindfulness meditation. I also worked as a sessional counsellor at Roehampton Priory, and in addition to my private practice I currently work as a sessional counsellor at the Recovery Centre in Belgravia and at the Capio Nightingale Psychiatric Hospital in London.
In my private practice I have worked with non-addicted individuals with a range of problems: social, specific and general anxiety, emotional and relational problems, negative thinking processes, jealousy, poor self-image, low self confidence and esteem, sexual identity, divorce and break-up, work related problems, reactive depression, abuse, and problems of self identity.
I work out of a pleasant, quiet room with a view over gardens.
